Nyt alkaa tuntua siltä, että helteitä on ihan riittävästi ja viileämpi voisi jo tulla. Pennut ei ulkona kovin paljon jaksa, enemmän siellä käydään asioilla ja sitten sisälle riehumaan, ilmalämpöpumpun viilentämässä huoneilmassa jaksaa paremmin.

Now it's starting to feel that there have been enough of this heat and it could start getting cooler already. The puppies don't do much outside, it's more like going  out there to do their business and then back inside to play. They are able to play better in the room cooled with air-source heat pump.

Hertta.

Kävin lauantain Tampereen seudulla katsomassa länderipentuja, ja koska päivästä olisi tullut pennuille tosi pitkä, niin laitoin pennut sitten "päivähoitoon" serkkuni luokse. Pääsivät samalla sitten tapaamaan muitakin eläimiä. Pennut olivat kuulemma reippaita ja kaikki oli sujunut hyvin. Nappasin pari kuvaakin facebookista pentujen reissusta.

On Saturday, I visited kromi-litter near Tampere, and since the day would've been so long for the puppies, I took them to "daycare" to my cousin. At the same they had a chance to meet other animals. Puppies were brave and everything went well. I snatched few pictures of the puppies day from the facebook.

Oli hoitopaikassa myös pieniä koiria, ne ei Hertan mielestä olleet ihan niin pelottavia.
There was also small dogs at the daycare, and Hertta didn't think they were that bad.

Ruokakin maistui reissussa. / They even ate during their trip.

Tytöt pääsivät uloskin, ja saivat lainaksi pienet valjaat etteivät pääse pakoon.
Girls got out too, and they were lend small harnesses so that they wouldn't run away.

Ulkona pääsi tapaamaan tosi isoja koiria, eikä ne lopulta kai ollut ihan niin pahoja.
Outside they got to meet really big dogs, and seems they weren't that bad in the end.

Kaikkein eksoottisin eläin jota tytöt pääsivät ihmettelemään oli haisunäätä.
Most exotic animal the girls got to meet was a skunk.

Hertta

Tänään kävi Hertalla hyvä tuuri ja sopiva perhe löytyi. Vielä saan nauttia Hertan ihanasta seurasta viikon, ja sitten lähtee Hertta-tyttökin maailmalle.

Today Hertta was lucky and  a fitting family was found. I still get to enjoy of her company for a week, before she too moves to the wide world.

Nyt on tämä projekti tietyllä tavalla ohitse, vaikka vielä hetken saa nauttia useammasta pennusta. Sitten pääseekin keskittymään Ingan kouluttamiseen.
Vieläköhän tässä ehtii haikeus iskeä kun ensimmäinen osa tämän pentueen alkua jää taakse.

Now this project is over in a way, even though I can still enjoy having two puppies for a while. Then I get to start focusing on training Inga.
Wonder if I still have time to get bit wistful before the first part is actually over with this litter.

Korvat / Ears

Ingan korvat ovat pienet. Ja ne ovat kevyet. Ja ne päättivät nousta pystyyn. Joten toiveikkaana päätin teipata Ingan korvat, josko ne asettuisivat nätisti teippien avulla. Teipit eivät Ingaa häiritse, nyt kun Hertta on lakannut pureskelemasta niitä.

Inga's ears are small. And they are light. And they decided to stand up. So I taped them, hoping they would settle nicely with the tape. And the tapes don't bother Inga now, because Hertta stopped biting them.

Hetken näytti siltä että Ingan korvien teippaaminen riittää. Mutta lopulta päätin teipata painon Hertan toiseen korvaan, se kun lähti sojottamaan sivulle. Tosin Hertan korvat ovat kyllä sen verran suuret, että varmaan olisi hetken kuluttua tuokin korva asettunut.

For a moment it seemed that taping Inga's ears was enough. But at the end, I decided to tape a weight onto Hertta's ear, since it started to rise on the side. Though Hertta's ears are so big, that the ear would've probably settled on it's own after a while.

Vähän teippiä ja 20 sentin kolikko. / Some tape and 20 cent coin.

Leikkiseuraa / Playing company

Tänään otin viimein Fridan leikkimään pentujen kanssa. Se on joutunut odottamaan aitojen takana tähän saakka, se kun on hieman vauhdikasta sorttia, ja ajattelin ettei kovin suuri lauma pentuja ole ehkä edes Fridalle mieleen. Joten nyt kun meillä on enää yksi ylimääräinen kotia odottamassa, päätin että Frida voi tulla kokeilemaan leikkimistä.
Ja todella hyvin meni; Frida on varovainen ja pennut todella nöyriä. Ja kun kokoerokaan ei ole suuri, niin näytti kaikilla olevan ihan hauskaa. Näin kun katselee Fridaa pentujen kanssa, sitä taas tajuaa kuinka pieni ja pentumainen se oikeasti onkaan. Korkeuseroa on vielä toistaiseksi useampi sentti, mutta tyyliltään Frida on todella pentumainen, varsinkin päästään.

Today I finally took Frida to play with the puppies. She's been forced to stay behind fences until now, since she's really speedy, and I thought that too many puppies at a time wouldn't probably even be nice in her opinion. So now that we only have one extra puppy waiting for her home, I decided that Frida can come and try playing.
And it did go really well; Frida is careful and the puppies are humble. And since the size difference isn't that big, they even seemed to have fun. Watching Frida play with the puppies, makes me realize again how small and puppy-like she actually is. The height difference is still few centimeters, but Fridas over-all style is really puppy looking, especially her head.

Dolmio

Tänään sitten lähti viimeinen poika, KromiStars Öinen Vaahterikko, "Ukko", joka matkaa Joulupukin kotikaupunkiin Rovaniemelle.

Today left the last boy, KromiStars Öinen Vaahterikko, "Ukko", who travels all the way to the home town of Santa Claus, to Rovaniemi.
